I have searched the net but have not found anyone with a similar issue yet and wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if so if they know of a work around, fix or the best way to report to Xerox so they can fix it (or Apple).I just upgraded to Mac OS 10.10 from 10.9 and no printing to my Xerox Phaser 6360 does not work properly. By this I mean when I print it takes exactly 3 minutes from print time until something comes out of the printer. During that time the printer is not busy or even aware that anything has been printed to it.

Apple FujiXerox Printer Drivers includes the latest Fuji-Xerox printing and scanning software for OS X Yosemite, OS X Mavericks, OS X Mountain Lion, and OS X Lion. For more information about printing and scanning software, see this page. Thank you for reading the blog. The Global Print Driver is for the Windows OS. This product does not have support for the Mac OS Sierra 10.12. You can try the generic driver provided by Apple Mac. If that does not work please consider contacting your local support centre for additional assistance. Thanks, CherylO-Xerox.
This is entirely within the OS. It is simply doing something for those three minutes. This has occured on both my computer and my wife's so it is not a specific problem with my particular machine. It is also not a general printing problem as I can print to a Brother 8870 (a much older printer btw) and it will print out immediately.
I have deleted the print queue and recreated the printer within 10.10 to no avail. In the console I get this series of odd outputs. Well here I am replying to my own post. I did manage to find a work around: create an IP version of the printer rather than using the default Bonjour connection. Click the 'IP' pane of 'Add printer' and enter the IP address of your printer and then setup is the same.
I did this and when printing to it it printed instantly. I have another hunch, I'm going to create the printer again as a Bonjour printer but first I'm going to repair permissions, maybe the permissions on the Xeros files in /Library/Printers/Xerox are screwed up (note it is /Library, not /Library).
I had tons of problems with files in there in the past. You can install things in there and they don't replace older versions, the installer just silently does nothing. You have to physically go to that folder and delete out what you are installing, then run the installer to get a fresh copy.
Anyway, that's my hunch now, if that works I'll post back here, if I don't post back then it means it did not work and that presently making an IP flavor of the printer is the only work around. Similar problem on Workcenter 7556. Cannot print or takes hours to print from MacBook Pro, no one with PC experiences delays or any problems with printing.I tried deleting the printer and installing new manually and automatically with no results. Installer detects the printer on the right IP and finishes installation successfully. I can ping the IP of the printer without problems, BUT still cannot print.THIS PROBLEM ONLY APPLIES TO MAC USERS.Apple really needs to learn how to work with other and NOT just apple products.
Same exact problem as originally described right down to the console messages and timing. Solved by changing the connection method to HPJetdirect rather than LDP.One additional note. The following message appears int the console immediately after the content is sent to the printer. This message does not appear when using IP printing.4/16/15 10:16:54.389 AM 19216810890936: The function ‘CGContextErase’ is obsolete and will be removed in an upcoming update. Unfortunately, this application, or a library it uses, is using this obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system performance.cheers,tod. I have issues printing to my Phaser 7750 from my Yosemite Mac Pro.
The problem is it takes forever to print, regardless of how small the file is. Basically, when I look at the printer's spooling window, jobs say 'ready to print' for 5-10 minutes. Eventually, the files print. The problem is no better when I use the IP printer set-up, and resetting the printing system from the Mac's System Preferences also doesn't help (these are the two solutions I've seen referenced often). Printing from an older Mac works fine. Anyone have any ideas to solve this issue?Printing to an inkjet printer works fine. The problem is regardless of which app I print from.
Once a job starts printing, all the rest of the jobs lined up print too. It just seems to take forever for the job to move from 'ready to print' to the next step.
